The delicate balance between historical,  modern, and all-natural is evident down to the last detail and furnishing  — vintage sinks in the bathroom, exposed brick and concrete, purifying house plants, and wall accents by local artists all add rich character to your home.

Be part of a historic community of changemakers

Through a community engagement process in 2017, this property was named the Awethu House. “Amandla Awethu!”, a popular rallying cry in the days of resistance against apartheid, loosely translates to “Power to the People”, which is fitting for this historic property on Auburn Avenue. Extending less than two miles eastward from Peachtree Street, Auburn Avenue was the commercial, cultural, and spiritual center of African American life in Atlanta prior to the civil rights movement. The Awethu House was developed with a historic and cultural preservation lens and is home to community-minded individuals and organizations.

On the first floor (below our coliving suites), we have Atlanta Breakfast Club, a Black-owned restaurant serving delicious chicken & waffles, and equitably sourced single-origin coffee from Guatemala. We also have Remerge, a community building and activating faith-based nonprofit with a design studio and coworking space. In addition to a living space, your Guild membership gives you access to curated events —from community dinners, to social justice tours, and events that help you live a life of purpose — the program is designed so you build deep relationships with your neighbors and invest in this historic community.
